Auction Rules
Basic Rules
Auctions last between 24 and 48 hours. When an auction ends, the highest bidder will be contacted to coordinate payment.
The minimum bid increase is $5, meaning that if the current bid is $60, the next bid must be at least $65.

Auto Bidding
To enable automatic bidding, when you place a bid, enter the maximum amount you’d like to pay for the dopt and select Place Bid. The website will bid in increments on your behalf to keep you in the lead but only up to your limit. Other users cannot see your maximum bid.
Example:
The current bid is $40.
You enter a maximum bid of $70. Because the minimum bid increase is $5, your bid is set to $45.
Another user bids $50. The website will automatically raise your bid to $55 to keep you in the lead.
Another user bids $60. The website will automatically raise your bid to $65 to keep you in the lead.
Another user bids $72. This is above your maximum bid of $70, so the website will send you an email (if you provided an email address as your contact info) that you have been outbid.

Why was I immediately outbid?
If you are outbid immediately after placing a bid, it’s likely that another bidder is using automatic bidding and has a maximum limit higher than yours. You’ll need to increase your maximum limit in order to be the highest bidder.

When do I pay if I win?
The first and obvious rule of thumb is "as soon as you can."
If you have any dues outstanding, please contact me BEFORE placing bids. We'll discuss if it makes sense for you to place bids.
Do note, however, if you have any AUCTION dues outstanding that you'll be disqualified from other auctions.
I'm willing to talk things over regarding your situation, but that transparency is required upfront.

Skip Auction Option
If you prefer to skip the auction and buy the auction dopt outright, you can pay the specified "Skip Auction" price. The auction will be paused while you coordinate payment.

Ask me if you have any further questions.
